Astăzi pregătesc multă pâine! Fac o pâine cu maia din 4 kilograme de făină. Nu am făcut niciodată o cantitate atât de mare, așa că este prima oară când încerc. Am pregătit o mâncare de cartofi cu carne de vită, gătită câteva ore pe aragaz, și a ieșit atât de gustoasă! Carnea a devenit foarte fragedă și pur și simplu se desface singură. Nu mai zic de aromă, mai ales după ce toate ingredientele au fost lăsate să se gătească încet, atâtea ore. A ieșit o mâncare gustoasă, sățioasă și perfectă pentru o masă în familie. Ieri am făcut, practic, câteva postări ca să aflu părerea oamenilor. Pentru că, până la urmă, și în online chestia asta contează. Dacă ai o pagină și vrei să deschizi un business sau să faci ceva, poți să-ți întrebi audiența și astfel să afli ce părere are. Și am văzut că, în proporție destul de mare, părerea românilor este că, dacă îți deschizi un restaurant, prețurile trebuie să fie cât mai mici, iar porțiile cât mai mari. Pur și simplu, nu îi interesează că tu trebuie să plătești chiria locației, taxele, angajații, materia primă și toate celelalte cheltuieli pe care le are un business. Și ceea ce mi se pare și mai rău este că, dacă tu vii și pui un anumit preț pentru un preparat, oamenii se duc la vecinul care îl vinde cu 20 de lei mai ieftin, chiar dacă poate nu este aceeași calitate, poate bucătarii nu au aceeași experiență și poate nici gustul nu este același. Dar lucrurile astea par să conteze mai puțin. Mai este și o chestie care pur și simplu m-a deranjat și este motivul pentru care vin cu postarea asta. Știu că pe YouTube am o audiență mai matură și cred că oamenii de aici au mai mult bun-simț și vor înțelege mesajul pe care vreau să-l transmit. Unii oameni, practic, m-au umilit verbal. Când am postat niște platouri simple cu carne, cu o idee de platou pentru micul dejun, au venit comentarii de genul: „Tu te vrei bucătar occidental, ai lucrat la Gordon și prin nu știu ce locuri și vii să vinzi din astea? Mie mi-ar fi rușine.” Și atunci mă întreb: ce ar trebui să fac? Să investesc milioane de euro, pe care, bineînțeles, nu îi am, într-un restaurant de fine dining în România și să aștept să vină cineva să mănânce foie gras și să plătească 4-5 milioane de lei pe o masă? Evident că nu. Normal că trebuie să vin în fața oamenilor cu ceva ce consumă, cu ceva rustic, cu ceva pe gustul lor. Dar nici măcar așa nu este bine. Pentru că, de fapt, oamenii vor rustic, mult și ieftin. Am spus că un platou cu aproximativ 4 kilograme de carne de porc, garnituri, legume, salate și sosuri costă 500 de lei pentru patru persoane și au început comentariile că ei nu ar da mai mult de 120 de lei pentru patru persoane sau că li se pare prea mult. Și nu înțeleg chestia asta: de ce trebuie să îl umilești pe omul care încearcă să facă ceva? Dacă am lucrat în restaurante de top și vreau să fac ceva simplu, asta înseamnă că am decăzut? Că este ceva josnic? Nu înțeleg. După toate postările astea, mi-am făcut o idee foarte clară în sinea mea: nu vreau să deschid un restaurant în România. Pentru că nu vreau să mă duc la muncă 12-14 ore pe zi, iar în business-ul acela aș fi și eu în bucătărie, ca apoi să fiu frustrată și să mă lovesc constant de recenzii și comentarii despre faptul că este prea scump, că nu am pus suficient în farfurie, că oamenii vor să se sature și tot așa. Viața este prea scurtă ca să te duci la un job sau să construiești un business în care ajungi să fii umilit.

Part 2 Member list privacy You’re right here as well. The member list of a Private group is visible only to members. Public group member lists are visible to everyone, while Secret group membership is also restricted to members. So the privacy behavior you noticed is intentional. Mute for groups The purpose of Mute is to remove that group’s posts from your feeds and silence its group notifications without changing your membership or your ability to open the group. If you’re seeing the feature behave differently between web and mobile, though, that difference is useful for us to know. The behavior should be consistent, so we’ll flag that observation as well. The group bell Yes, the bell is specifically for new-post notifications from that group. It is opt-in for members, and it doesn’t affect who can see the posts themselves. Mute and the bell control what reaches you, they do not change the privacy of the group or its content. Blocking someone who owns/admins a group This is probably the most interesting edge case you raised. Blocking does not cancel group membership: two users who have blocked each other can still belong to the same group. What blocking does is hide their posts from each other and prevent the usual notifications between them. Your broader concern is therefore valid: if an admin and a member cannot see each other’s ordinary content because of a block, that can make some moderation situations awkward. This is a genuinely useful scenario for us to consider as Groups evolve. Searching groups by description, not only by name You’re absolutely right about the current behavior. Group search currently matches the group’s name, not words in its description. Your “Stitch Corner” / “crochet” example explains perfectly why searching descriptions would become increasingly useful as the number of groups grows. We’ll note this one as a discovery/search improvement. Only seeing the latest 10 posts The intended Groups behavior is to show group posts newest first, with a pinned post shown separately at the top. There isn’t a documented “only 10 posts” product rule. So if you and @donkerbot are consistently hitting a hard limit of 10 posts, that’s something we need to look into rather than explain away as an intentional restriction. Thanks for pointing it out. And your tagging issue on web Also noted. If the mention selector makes it difficult to tell which user you’re choosing, that’s a separate web UI issue worth improving. Overall, a lot of what you tested is behaving exactly as intended, and you’ve also surfaced several really useful usability and edge-case observations. Part 1 Thank you for taking the time to go this deep into Groups, @Ioana MS! 😊💙 I’ll give the responses here, as they may help others as well. Also, not enough characters, so I’ll split this into two posts. 🤦‍♀️😅 Public, Private and Secret groups You’ve understood the privacy model correctly. Public groups can be found by anyone, joined instantly, and their posts behave like regular public posts across feeds, profiles and links. Private groups can still be found, but only members can see their posts, comments and reactions, and joining requires admin approval. Secret groups are private groups that are also hidden from search and the Groups directory, so outsiders cannot discover them at all. And yes, if you can see activity from a Private or Secret group on someone’s profile or in your feed, that means you also have permission to see that content, usually because you’re a member of the same group. Private group content does not become public simply because it appears in a member’s feed or activity. 😊 Fact-checking in groups Correct again. Group posts go through the same moderation process as other eYou posts, and fact-checking applies where relevant. So what you’ve observed there is working as intended. Posting from a group on the web You’ve identified an important UX point here. A post that belongs to a group needs to be created from the group page through the “Share something with the group…” composer. The large general “New Post” button can therefore be misleading when you’re already looking at a group page and naturally assume you’re about to post there. Making the group composer more visible or otherwise making the destination clearer is very useful feedback, and we’ll note it for improvements. Copy-pasting screenshots/images on the web This isn’t something specific to Groups, but your point makes perfect sense from a web usability perspective. Having to save a snip as a file before uploading it adds an unnecessary extra step. We’ll pass that one along as web UX feedback too. Seeing group rules before joining a Private group This is a very good point. At the moment, a non-member can see the Private group’s basic information, including its name and description, but there isn’t a dedicated “Group Rules” field shown before joining. Some admins use the description for rules, while others put them in a pinned post, but of course a pinned post inside a Private group cannot help someone decide whether to join because they can’t read the group’s posts yet. So a dedicated, clearly visible rules section before requesting membership would remove exactly the extra step you described. Very useful suggestion. 👍

Uneori vreau să fac și alte tipuri de pâine. Și de aici începe povestea… ajung mereu la același topping: cașcaval, usturoi, ceapă caramelizată și bacon. 🤣 Deși pornesc cu gândul că de data asta fac ceva diferit, cumva tot la toppingul ăsta ajung. Ce să fac dacă îmi place atât de mult? Îmi place foarte mult să fac pâine. Mi se pare un proces atât de liniștitor. Plus că este o adevărată plăcere să vezi ce poți face doar din apă, făină și maia. Durează puțin mai mult procesul, e adevărat, dar se merită din plin. Și chiar nu regret nicio clipă că am făcut cultura de maia. Dacă ai două mere și câteva ouă, uite cum poți să faci o prăjitură cu mere delicioasă, perfectă pentru zilele de toamnă. Este o rețetă simplă, cu ingrediente puține, dar cu un rezultat foarte gustos.
