I usually use a shovel or a spade for my cleanups, but this particular playground was a little different. There were lots of mothers with babies around, often trying to get them to sleep, and I didn’t want to disturb them with the noise of a shovel. So, for most of the work, I used a small handheld putty knife instead. It was much quieter, although it made the job a lot slower. But I was well worth it ! Kids started drawing while I was cleaning it ! The whole project took me about ten days, working roughly two hours a day while waiting for my son to finish his physiotherapy sessions. Astăzi este Ziua Internațională a Bucătarilor, așa că vreau să le urez „La mulți ani!” tuturor bucătarilor și colegilor de breaslă din aceasta meserie. Vă doresc multă sănătate, putere de muncă și să vă treziți în fiecare zi cu același entuziasm, cu plăcerea de a găti pentru oameni și de a le oferi preparate pe care și voi le-ați savura cu drag. Știu cât de solicitantă este această meserie, mai ales că am avut ocazia să lucrez în bucătării profesionale, inclusiv la nivel internațional. Este o muncă ce cere disciplină, răbdare și sacrificiu, dar și o pasiune care îți aduce satisfacții imense atunci când vezi bucuria oamenilor care gustă din ceea ce ai pregătit. Bucătăria îți poate deschide și drumul către succes, iar exemplele nu lipsesc: Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Massimo Bottura, Alain Ducasse, Paul Bocuse, Joël Robuchon, Hélène Darroze, Anne-Sophie Pic și Éric Fréchon. Toți au demonstrat, în felul lor, cât de departe te pot duce talentul, munca și perseverența. La mulți ani tuturor celor care pun suflet în fiecare farfurie! Vă doresc sănătate, inspirație, apreciere și cât mai multe reușite!

Last Thursday I had the honour of being nominated by @andreeamarinromania as one of the people that received the trophy 🏆 “ Nothing is impossible “ . This came as a recognition for my volunteering initiative and I was honoured to be on the same stage with people like @cristianmungiu who won the Palme D’Or in Cannes Film Festival or @angelagheorghiuofficial the most famous opera singer in the world. I want to dedicate this prize to my family and especially to our son Dimi , who inspired me to clean public spaces while I was waiting for him to get out of private physiotherapy. He got a stroke while being in the womb of their mother ( he has a twin brother, Filip ) and we have being going to private physiotherapy for the past 6 years , in 5 different countries to help he walk and live and independent life on day as he has cerebral palsy and can’t walk yet at 7 years old . Thank you for your support! It means a lot for our family! Gabriel .

BEYOND THE CANVAS: MEET @Dolphy Sometimes, behind a beautiful piece of art, there’s a story just as remarkable as the artwork itself. And sometimes, you come across someone whose story stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it. That’s exactly how we felt when we discovered the man behind the colorful paintings shared by @dolphy here on eYou. His name is George-Claudiu Olteanu, a Romanian-born artist now living in France. But there’s so much more to Dolphy than his name or the art he creates. Gifted from an early age and never quite one to follow a conventional path, Dolphy made the extraordinary decision to leave home at just 13 years old and find his own way in the world. What followed was a life full of unexpected turns and experiences. From periods of homelessness to exploring different professions and meeting people from all walks of life, his journey has been anything but ordinary. Along the way, he also faced a struggle with drug addiction, one he eventually managed to overcome on his own, without professional help. Not always easy, certainly not predictable, but undeniably his own. And somewhere along the way, he found another way to express himself: through painting. What makes his art even more remarkable is that Dolphy lives with a visual impairment. Yet, despite the challenges this brings, he creates a world filled with color, imagination, and expression. There’s something deeply moving about that. His story reminds us that we’re so much more than the hardships we’ve faced, the mistakes we’ve made, or the circumstances we’ve lived through. And that it’s never too late to discover a new passion, take a different path, or create something beautiful. This is one of the things we love most about eYou. Behind every profile is a real person, with a story we might never imagine just by scrolling through their posts. Today, we’re genuinely happy to introduce you to Dolphy. One thing I learned from the very beginning of my volunteering initiative, never have expectations from anyone. I worked 2 full days on this project over a weekend , and even though a lot of people stoped to have a chat , nobody helped me . This is a message for the other people who want to volunteer. Just do what you have to do ! If somebody helps , perfect ! If nobody does , that’s ok , you did your part ! Good luck ! Gabriel
