#BirthdayBoy Today I turned 40 . If you had asked me years ago where I’d be at this age, I would’ve never imagined this.
Hundreds of cleanups.
Millions of people reached.
Thousands of volunteers inspired.
A community that proves one person really can make a difference.
But none of this started because I wanted to become a content creator.
It started because of Dimi.
Dimi is one of our twin boys. Before he was born, he suffered a stroke. Today he’s seven years old, and he still can’t walk on his own.
Watching him struggle to move made me look at the world differently.
I started cleaning public places because every child deserves safe, clean spaces to explore—including children like Dimi.
FixerDad was never just about picking up rubbish.
It’s about refusing to walk past a problem.
Over the last few years I’ve learned something simple:
People are good.
Most just need someone to take the first step.
So today I don’t wish for presents.
I wish that more people believe their actions matter.
Because if one father can turn his son’s challenge into a movement…
If thousands of strangers can come together to improve their communities…
Imagine what millions of us could achieve.

A few weeks ago, I spent about 30 minutes cleaning these overflowing bins in a student parking area in Sofia.
Since I share my cleanups across different social media platforms, this one also went viral, and many local authorities already know about my work. So I was curious to come back and see what had happened.
I expected to find the area cleaner, or maybe even more bins.
Instead, I found that both concrete bins had simply been removed.
As someone born in Romania, living mostly in London, and spending time in Sofia, it’s interesting to see the difference. In Romania, almost every plastic bottle, can, and glass bottle has a deposit, so people return them for money. In Bulgaria, that system is still only being tested in a few places, so most containers still have no deposit value.
