Today I cleaned a river near Dartford, Kent, just outside London. 🇬🇧🌍 Years ago, I made myself a simple promise: not a single day will pass without me picking up at least one piece of rubbish. Astăzi am avut ceva treabă! 😅 Am pregătit ardei umpluți, gătiți la ceaun, iar câțiva care mi-au mai rămas i-am pus într-o tavă de fontă și îi bag la cuptor. Și, ca să fie treaba treabă, am pregătit și patru pâini de casă. Am aici aluatul, căruia i-am făcut laminare, apoi tehnica de stretch and fold. Acum îl mai las la dospit încă o tură, după care îl pun în coșulețe, îl mai las din nou la dospit și apoi urmează coptul. Deci, după cum vedeți, cred că mă prinde seara cu treabă! 😂🍞🌶️

Fighting food waste takes alignment between the private sector and public institutions. I had to chance to meet yesterday with @Diana Buzoianu , Minister of Environment, together with her colleague Adrian Cristian Ardelean, to talk about the reality of food waste in Romania, the recent accomplishments from both public institutions and the private sector, and debated the areas where we still see room for improvement. Key takeaways: 🟢 We need to look further at the discrepancies that exist in Romania vs. other EU countries in terms of "Best Before" vs. "Expiry" dates, and how Romania can align with its European neighbors even more to save safe food. 🟢 We also touched on the national SEAP platform and how tech can play a real role in green public procurement. You already know how fact-checking works on eYou. Here’s a real-world example of why it matters. A false claim recently spread on social media in Romania, saying that ambulances were being used to kidnap children. Some people believed it. The consequences moved beyond the screen: an ambulance carrying a patient was stopped and vandalized, and the driver was injured. Imagine seeing that post with context, sources, and a confidence score before deciding whether to believe or share it. This is exactly why we built fact-checking into eYou. Sometimes, a little more context can make a very real difference.
