2. What Data We Collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address — to contact you about early access
  • Chosen handle — to reserve your username
  • Poll response — your choice in the "What matters most" poll

3. Purpose of Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Managing the eYou waitlist
  • Reserving your chosen handle for when the platform launches
  • Communicating with you about early access and launch updates
  • Understanding community priorities through aggregated poll results

4. Legal Basis

We process your personal data based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide by checking the consent checkbox before submitting the waitlist form. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Retention

We retain your waitlist data until the eYou platform launches and you have been given the opportunity to create an account, or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first. After that, your waitlist data will be deleted within 30 days.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. All fonts and assets are self-hosted. We use the following third-party services, each activated only with your explicit consent via our cookie banner: (1) Firebase Analytics (Google) — uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data so we can understand how visitors interact with the site; (2) Meta Pixel & Conversions API (Facebook/Meta) — uses cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and receives a SHA-256-hashed version of your email address, your IP address, and browser user-agent to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns; (3) TikTok Pixel & Events API — uses cookies (_ttp) and receives a SHA-256-hashed version of your email address, your IP address, and browser user-agent for the same purpose. Additionally, Umami Analytics is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — it does not use cookies, cannot identify individual visitors, and is always active regardless of your consent choice.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
  • Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection supervisory authority

8. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling based on your personal data.

9. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses the following tracking technologies. Umami Analytics is cookieless and always active — it collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics without personal data. The following are only activated with your explicit consent via our cookie banner: Firebase Analytics (Google) uses cookies to collect anonymized interaction data; Meta Pixel (Facebook) sets _fbp and _fbc cookies and sends a PageView event on page load and a Lead event when you sign up for the waitlist; TikTok Pixel sets a _ttp cookie and sends a page view on load and a CompleteRegistration event on signup. For Meta and TikTok, we also send the same events from our server (via their Conversions API / Events API) using a shared event ID for deduplication — this means each conversion is counted only once. Server-side events include a SHA-256 hash of your email, your IP address, and your browser user-agent. You can change your cookie preference at any time using the floating shield icon in the bottom-right corner of the page or the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

10. Cookie Consent Mechanism

We use a consent mechanism to respect your choice regarding analytics and advertising cookies:

  • Your preference is stored in your browser's localStorage (not as a cookie) under the key "eyou_cookie_consent".
  • If you accept, Firebase Analytics, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Pixel are initialized and may set cookies for usage and conversion tracking. If you reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and none of these services are loaded.
  • You can change your preference at any time by clicking the floating shield icon in the bottom-right corner of the page or the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, which will re-display the consent banner.
